On December 18th, Hong Kong Airlines (HKA) started offering direct non-stop flights to Los Angeles four days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) on their new Airbus A350 planes. Starting January 16th, the airline will be offering daily flights.

This next-generation Airbus A350-900 is equipped with various modern amenities designed to enhance the passenger experience; including inflight WiFi — of which the first 15 minutes are available free to all passengers — as well as a brand new inflight entertainment system, which boasts an expanded catalogue of over 100 entertainment content including the latest movies and TV programmes, as well as live broadcasts of CNN, BBC World News and Sport24.

Business class contains 33 seats, each of which reclines to a fully lie-flat bed and will be 23 inches wide. Economy Comfort consists of 109 seats that are 20 inches wide with 34 inches of pitch, while the economy cabin has room for 193 passengers, with seats that are also 20 inches wide and have 31-32 inches of pitch.

HKA also plans to launch a new non-stop service between Hong Kong and San Francisco on March 25, 2018, and to New York later in 2018.

Tickets for the new route are available now through their website with round-trip business class tickets starting at $3,104 and economy tickets start at $687; however, if you do a bit of searching you can find tickets at a much cheaper price. We’ve seen prices as low as 370 USD on Momondo for dates after the Chinese New Year.
