On February 22nd, 2025, the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen (ISNS) hosted the inaugural ACAMIS Chess Tournament, bringing together over 50 players from seven international schools for a day of strategic gameplay and friendly competition.
The event welcomed teams from Chinese International School Hong Kong (CIS), Quality Schools International (QSI) Zhuhai, Shekou International School (SIS), Shen Wai International School (SWIS), Xiamen International School (XIS), and Zhuhai International School (ZIS). The tournament served as an excellent platform for young chess enthusiasts to test their skills, engage in high-level competition, and foster connections beyond the chessboard.
The competition followed a six-round Swiss format, where players were paired based on their performance throughout the day. ISNS demonstrated impressive talent, with four players ranking in the top 15. Bowen C., a Grade 8 student from ISNS, secured a shared second-place finish with an outstanding score of 5 out of 6 points. In the overall school rankings, ISNS proudly claimed second place, showcasing its strong chess program.
Beyond the intense matches, the tournament also featured a live stream and an interactive chess-playing robot demonstration, presented by Zhi Teng Chess Club. This high-tech addition captivated both participants and spectators, adding an extra dimension to the event.
The success of the ACAMIS Chess Tournament highlights the growing enthusiasm for chess among international schools and the importance of such events in enhancing critical thinking, strategic decision-making, and sportsmanship. ACAMIS 国际象棋锦标赛：策略与才华的较量
2025年2月22日，深圳市南山外籍人员子女学校（ISNS）成功举办了首届 ACAMIS 国际象棋锦标赛，吸引了来自七所国际学校的50多名选手，共同参与这场策略与竞技的较量。
本次比赛汇聚了香港汉基国际学校（CIS）、珠海 QSI 国际学校、蛇口国际学校（SIS）、深圳外国语学校国际部（SWIS）、厦门国际学校（XIS）和珠海国际学校（ZIS）的选手。这场赛事不仅为年轻的象棋爱好者提供了切磋技艺的机会，也鼓励他们在竞技之外建立深厚的友谊。
本次比赛采用六轮瑞士制，选手们根据当日表现进行配对。ISNS 选手们展现了卓越的棋艺，四名学生跻身前15名。其中，八年级学生 Bowen C. 以6局5胜的优异成绩荣获并列第二，为学校赢得荣誉。在团队排名中，ISNS 获得亚军，充分展现了其强大的国际象棋项目实力。
除了紧张刺激的比赛外，赛事还特别安排了人工智能象棋机器人展示与现场直播，由智腾棋社倾力呈现。这一高科技互动吸引了选手和观众的关注，为赛事增添了更多亮点。
