On August 3, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference on the topic of “Services to Guarantee High-Quality Development”, to inform the Ministry of Public Security of the study and formulation of a number of measures by public security organs to guarantee high-quality development.
The Ministry of Public Security and the State Immigration Administration have decided to facilitate the issuance of port visas and multiple visas within the country for foreign business people.
Today we will share how can foreigners apply for business visas at Shenzhen ports?
Application Materials
1. Original passport, photocopy of the first page and visa pages;
2. One color photo;
3. Application form (to be filled out on site);
4. A copy of the business license of the inviting company with official seal;
5. A copy of ID card of the legal representative of the inviting company with official seal;
6. Invitation letter with official seal;
The content of the invitation letter shall include:
(1) Personal information of the invitee: name, gender, date of birth, passport number, etc.
(2) Information about the invitee’s visit to China: reason for coming to China, date of arrival and departure, place of visit, relationship with the inviting organization or the inviter, and source of expenses;
(3) Information of the inviting company: name of the inviting company, address, contact telephone number, seal of the company, signature of the legal representative or the inviter of the company, date, etc. (The relevant information shall be included in the body of the invitation letter).
7. Round-trip air ticket and hotel order (should contain the applicant’s name and other information); Not a must, better take if you have.
8. Other supplementary information.
For visa application at airport, you can send all documents to visa office’s email first and get a confirmation letter. But final result is subject to on-site approval by the visa officer at the port.
Processing Time
Same day. Waiting time varies according to the number of people being processed on the day.
Work Time
9:00-17:00.
Warm Reminder
Since the issuance of visa at the port is subject to the on-site approval of the visa officer, there is a possibility of visa refusal, if the visa is refused at the airport, you will not be able to enter China.
If your time is ok and you can get an appointment at the Chinese consulate abroad, we suggest you to apply for the visa in your country.
If you are in a hurry to come to China and can’t get an appointment number in Chinese consulate, our suggestion is to apply for a business visa in the following order: Shenzhen Port (not Shenzhen Airport)—HongKong SAR—Shenzhen Airport/Guangzhou Airport.
Because you can apply for a business visa in Hong Kong (provided you can enter Hong Kong without a visa) if your visa is refused at Shenzhen port and you can only return to your country in the same way if your application is rejected at the airport.
