Jean, a dedicated expatriate from Latin America, is on a mission to imbue Shenzhen with the richness of Latin American culture and language. After spending nearly 8 years in China, his fondness for his Peruvian and Costa Rican roots inspired him to establish the Shenzhen Spanish Club. His vision is to cultivate a space for cultural exchange between Latin America, Spain, and China.
Jean, un expatriado latinoamericano destacado, se ha puesto la misión de imbuir a Shenzhen en la riqueza de la cultura y el idioma español. Después de pasar casi 8 años en China, su cariño por sus raíces peruanas y costarricenses lo inspiró a establecer el Club de Español en Shenzhen. Su visión es cultivar un espacio para el intercambio cultural entre América Latina, España y China.
Driven by his love for his homeland and a fervor for cultural integration, Jean has created a unique platform. Here, Latin American and Chinese cultures can intertwine, fostering an environment of mutual learning and understanding.
Impulsado por el amor a su patria y el fervor por la integración cultural, Jean ha creado una plataforma única en la que las cultura latinoamericana y china pueden entrelazarse, fomentando un entorno de aprendizaje y entendimiento mutuos.
Bajo la dirección de Jean así como de Amy, el Club de Español en Shenzhen se ha convertido en un dinámico centro de intercambio cultural y aprendizaje. También es importante reconocer a Amy, que ha sido un pilar de apoyo junto a Jean, contribuyendo a la creación del vibrante Amy & Jean Club de Español en Shenzhen.
Under Jean’s and Amy’s guidance, the Shenzhen Spanish Club has blossomed into a lively center for cultural exchange and learning. It’s also important to recognize Amy, who has been a pillar of support alongside Jean, contributing to the creation of the vibrancy of the Club.
Al organizar eventos regulares, como sesiones de práctica del idioma español, clases de cocina tradicional española, talleres de baile con flamenco, salsa y bachata, así como debates sobre poesía, historia, comercio exterior y arte, Jean ha fomentado un espacio dinámico donde los chinos asi como los residentes de otras nacionalidades pueden sumergirse en la cultura latinoamericana.
By organizing regular events, such as Spanish language practice sessions, traditional Latin American cooking classes, dance workshops featuring flamenco, salsa, and bachata, as well as discussions on poetry, history, foreign trade, and art, Jean has fostered a dynamic space where Chinese residents can dive into the Spanish and Latin American culture.
La dedicación de Jean a la promoción de la lengua española y la cultura latinoamericana en China ha transformado el Club de Español en Shenzhen en un preciado centro comunitario, construyendo un puente que conecta Oriente y Occidente.
Jean’s dedication to promoting Spanish language and culture within China has transformed the Shenzhen Spanish Club into a cherished community hub, building a bridge that connects the East and West.
