In March 2026, DoubleTree by Hilton Shenzhen Nanshan Hotel & Residences brought a wave of joy and elegance to the city as it celebrated its vibrant 5th anniversary with the theme “Five Glorious Years, Extraordinary Elegance.”
Since opening its doors in 2021 as the first DoubleTree by Hilton branded hotel and residences in Greater China, the property has firmly established itself in the heart of Nanshan. To mark this special milestone, the hotel partnered exclusively with talented illustrator Lu Xiaobei (Beiyi) to create a set of limited-edition room key cards. The beautiful designs weave together cheerful colorful balloons, graceful black-faced spoonbills, the elegant national first-class protected migratory birds that return every winter to Shenzhen’s Mangrove Forest, and the historic charm of Nantou Ancient City. These elements beautifully capture five years of cherished memories and the hotel’s enduring commitment to sustainable development.
A special charity sale of the limited-edition key cards was held in advance, with all proceeds generously donated to the Shenzhen Mangrove Migratory Bird Protection Project, a heartfelt gesture that highlights the hotel’s strong sense of social responsibility.
Guests also enjoyed a creative on-site zentangle art workshop, where recycled coffee grounds were repurposed as soil, turning everyday waste into meaningful art while embracing the spirit of sustainability. Illustrator Beiyi personally guided participants through the relaxing, healing process of zentangle drawing. The evening was capped with a delightful buffet dinner, offered as a sincere thank-you to everyone who joined the celebration.
