IMAX Opens in Sea World, Shekou, Shenzhen

A new IMAX movie theater opens today during the opening of the a Shopping Center across the street from Sea World in Shekou. According to IMAX’s website, it’s the 9th theater to open in Shenzhen.

The Shopping Center, called Gateway One, also houses various other shops new to Shekou; including an Ole Supermarket.

The new theater is not yet listed on IMAX’s web site; however information is available online (in Chinese only) at www.lumiai.com/#!/hotfilms .

Only a 37-minute demo movie is available as of today. The movie does have English; unfortunately, to watch it, viewers must buy a membership card starting at 300 RMB.

IMAX: 11am, 2pm, 4pm, 7pm, 9pm

LD (uses enhanced motion sound technology): 10:30am, 1pm, 3:20pm, 6pm, 8:10pm
