ISNS: Every Child Deserves a Chance to Learn

At ISNS, service learning extends beyond the classroom. It is a core part of our educational philosophy, empowering students to develop empathy, global awareness, and a genuine commitment to creating positive change.

For many years, the ISNS community has proudly partnered with Captivating International, supporting initiatives that expand access to education for children in underserved communities across China. Through the generosity of our students, families, faculty, and staff, ISNS currently sponsors 14 girls through the One More Year Scholarship Program, helping them continue their education despite financial hardship. Since its launch, the program has supported hundreds of students, giving young people the opportunity to pursue a brighter futures through learning.

The ISNS community also supports Captivating's Send a Volunteer Teacher Program, which places dedicated educators in remote schools where qualified teachers are urgently needed. Beyond delivering lessons, these volunteers provide encouragement, stability, and hope to children whose educational opportunities are often limited.

One scholarship recipient expressed the impact simply: “Whenever I thought about giving up, I remembered the people who believed in me. Their support gave me the strength to keep going.” Her words are a powerful reminder that education changes lives not only by opening doors to knowledge, but by inspiring confidence, resilience, and possibility.
