The Melbourne Cup is an iconic Australian sporting event commonly labelled as “The race that stops the nation”. The annual event is observed on the first Tuesday of November, celebrating Australia’s rich sporting culture, fashion and glamour.

墨尔本杯是澳大利亚人民标志性的体育赛事，被视为“举国屏息的赛事”。活动在每年11月份的首个星期二举行，旨在庆祝澳大利亚多样的体育文化、体育时尚以及竞技魅力。

This year is the 164th running of the Melbourne Cup with the race first held in 1861.
