Grounded in a vintage industrial aesthetic, Obsidian Bar weaves together dark materials, raw metal details, and meticulously crafted lighting to conjure a distinctive pulse of urban nightlife, one that captures the very character and energy of Shenzhen itself.

Located in Futian Central District, Shenzhen, Obsidian Bar was born from a deceptively simple ambition: to be far more than a place for exceptional drinks. It set out to become a living, breathing representation of contemporary Shenzhen nightlife.

Here, cocktails and whisky collide with food. An open kitchen, a bustling bar, and sweeping views of the city skyline converge. Drinks, cuisine, design, and human connection share the same stage, creating an environment where every guest discovers their own way to experience the night.

Over the years, the bar has been fortunate to earn recognition from an increasingly wider community of bartenders, industry professionals, and guests.

In 2025, Obsidian Bar made its debut on the Asia's 50 Best Bars 51–100 list, landing at No. 51.

In 2026, it broke into the Asia's 50 Best Bars main list for the first time, ranking No. 10 in Asia.

For Obsidian Bar, the journey from No. 51 to No. 10 means far more than a change in ranking.

It feels like a response from the Asian bar community, a recognition that a bar from Shenzhen is becoming part of a larger conversation.

And through this journey, Obsidian Bar has become even more aware that the place where it is rooted is an essential part of its story.
