⚽ Players Wanted – Shenzhen Celtic FC ⚽

We are currently looking for new players to join Shenzhen Celtic FC for the upcoming season.

We compete in the Hong Kong Legal League Division 1, playing competitive 11-a-side football against teams from across Hong Kong. We are a group of players from different backgrounds who share a love for football, competition, and building a strong team together.

Our season runs from around September to May, with regular league fixtures, training sessions, and friendly matches throughout the year.

📍 Convenient location One of the biggest advantages of playing with us is location. Most of our games are only around a 15-minute car journey from the Shenzhen–Hong Kong border, making it very accessible for players based in Shenzhen. There is no eleven aside football league in Shenzhen, so this is the closest thing we have!

We are looking for: ✅ Players who are committed and reliable ✅ Players who want to compete at a good level ✅ Players who enjoy being part of a team both on and off the pitch ✅ All positions welcome

More than just football, we are also about building a good team environment. After games, we enjoy the usual football traditions — grabbing some food, having a few beers, and getting to know each other off the pitch. We believe the best teams are built both during matches and through the friendships created outside of football.

Whether you are new to Shenzhen, looking to return to competitive football, or simply want to find a good football community, we would love to hear from you.

If you are interested, or know someone who might be a good fit, please contact us and we can arrange a trial.

Peng City FC (Chinese Super League - Pro Tier 1)

Results - (July 26th) Loss 3-4 @ Yunnan Yukun, (August 2nd) Win 2-0 vs Chongqing Tonglianglong, (August 7th) Loss 0-4 @ Beijing Guoan, (August 15th) Win 2-1 @ Liaoning Tieren

Upcoming - (August 22nd 19:35) HOME vs Zhejiang Professional @ Shenzhen Stadium, Futian, (August 28th 20:00) HOME vs Shanghai Port @ Shenzhen Stadium, Futian, (September 5th) @ Shandong Taishan

Summary - A big away win to bounce straight back! After the confidence-boosting 2-0 home win over Chongqing Tonglianglong on August 2nd, Peng City came crashing down to earth with a 0-4 hammering away at Beijing Guoan on August 7th. But they responded superbly on their next trip, grinding out a 2-1 victory at Liaoning Tieren on August 15th, a first-ever away win over Tieren and only their second road win of the campaign. That result moves them to 8W-2D-13L with 26 points and keeps them 8th in the Chinese Super League, comfortably clear of the drop zone. Two big home games come next at Shenzhen Stadium, against Zhejiang Professional on August 22nd and Shanghai Port on August 28th, before a tricky away trip to Shandong Taishan on September 5th.

Juniors FC (Chinese League 1 - Pro Tier 2)

Results - (August 2nd) Win 1-0 vs Wuxi Wugou, (August 9th) Win 1-0 @ Yanbian Longding, (August 16th) Draw 0-0 vs Ningbo Professional

Upcoming - (August 23rd) HOME vs Nanjing City FC, (August 29th) @ Foshan Nanshi

Summary - Solid if unspectacular for the Juniors. Building on the crucial 1-0 home win over Wuxi Wugou on August 2nd, the boys made it back-to-back 1-0 wins with a battling victory away at Yanbian Longding on August 9th, before being held to a 0-0 draw at home by Ningbo Professional on August 16th. That leaves them 2nd in China League One on 33 points (9W-6D-4L), still firmly in the automatic promotion places, but the race is tightening fast: leaders Guangdong GZ-Power have pulled 10 points clear at the top, while Yanbian, Guangxi Hengchen and Nantong Zhiyun are all breathing down Juniors' necks just one point back on 32. With only the top two going up to join Peng City in the Chinese Super League, every point now counts. Next up, a home clash with Nanjing City on August 23rd, then a trip to Foshan Nanshi on August 29th.

2028 FC (Chinese League 2 - Pro Tier 3)

Results - (July 25th) Win 2-1 @ Jiangxi Lushan, (August 1st) Loss 0-1 @ Guizhou Guiyang, (August 8th) Win 6-0 vs Ganzhou Ruishi, (August 16th) Draw 1-1 @ Wenzhou Professional

Upcoming - (August 23rd) HOME vs Hubei Istar @ Guangming District Football Training Base

Summary - Sweet revenge and back on the horse for 2028 FC! After the away defeat at league leaders Guizhou Guiyang (0-1) on August 1st ended their long unbeaten run, the boys roared back at the Guangming District Football Training Base with an emphatic 6-0 demolition of Ganzhou Ruishi on August 8th, gaining serious payback for that 3-0 loss at Ganzhou back in May when they played half the match with ten men. They followed it up with a 1-1 draw away at Wenzhou Professional on August 16th to stay unbeaten again. Crucially, 2028 FC have now officially QUALIFIED for the Promotion Stage! Their home game against Hubei Istar on August 23rd is their last match of the regular South Group phase before the promotion stage gets underway, with more details on their promotion stage schedule to be available soon.
