Football Themed Trivia Afternoon - Hosted by Shenzhen Sports Sphere

Details - Join us on Friday, June 19th at 4PM as we host an afternoon of trivia at King's Bar! This will cover everything football! Details are on the poster above.

Following the trivia Shenzhen's top 2 pro football clubs Peng City FC and Juniors FC will face off in the 4th round of the Chinese FA Cup! This will be the first time top Shenzhen clubs have faced eachother in this competition. Match begins at 7PM at Bao'an Stadium, just a few minutes walk down the street from King's Bar.

Results - (May 19th) Draw 1-1 vs Dalian Yingbo, (May 24th) Win 2-1 @ Shanghai Shenhua, (May 30th) Win 3-2 vs Qingdao Hainiu

Upcoming - (June 19th 19:00) Chinese FA Cup Round 4 @ Shenzhen Juniors FC, Played at Bao'an Stadium in Shenzhen , (June 27th 19:35) HOME vs Chengdu Rongcheng @ Shenzhen Stadium, Futian

Summary - Back-to-back wins! For the 1st time all season they have won in 2 straight matches, and have points in 3 point matches. Proceeding this their longest point streak was only 1 match. After ending their away-day with that hard-fought 2-1 victory at Shanghai Shenhua on May 24th, Peng City kept the good times rolling at home, edging Qingdao Hainiu 3-2 in a thriller at Shenzhen Stadium on May 30th. That result moves them to 5W-2D-8L with 17 points and lifts them up to 9th in the table (On same point total as 7th), putting some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone. A break from league action now before they return to host Chengdu Rongcheng on June 27th, with that FA Cup Shenzhen Derby away at Juniors in between.

Results - (May 29th) Draw 0-0 @ Guangdong GZ-Power FC, (June 14th) Draw 1-1 vs Guangxi Hengchen

Upcoming - (June 19th 19:00) Chinese FA Cup Round 4 HOME vs Shenzhen Peng City FC, Played at Bao'an Stadium in Shenzhen, (June 27th 19:00) @ Dalian K'un City, (July 4th 19:00) HOME vs Nantong Zhiyun FC

Summary - A frustrating night sees Juniors slip to 2nd. After that battling 0-0 draw away at GZ-Power, the boys returned home expecting to keep there lead at the top against Guangxi Hengchen on June 14th but were held to a 1-1 draw. Combined with GZ-Power winning their game, that's enough to knock Shenzhen Juniors off top spot, with both clubs now level on 23 points (7W-2D-2L each) but GZ-Power ahead on goal difference. It's tight at the summit, with Nantong Zhiyun also lurking just one point back in 3rd, so the promotion race to join Shenzhen rivals Peng City in the Chinese Super League is heating up. Attention now turns to that huge FA Cup Round 4 Shenzhen Derby against top-flight Peng City this Friday, the first time two top Shenzhen teams have ever met in the FA Cup!

Summary - Back to action and back to winning ways for 2028 FC! After the emphatic 4-0 demolition of Wenzhou Professional on May 26th, the boys travelled to a strong Hubei Istar side on June 14th and dug out a hard-fought 2-1 away victory, sealed by a Li penalty deep into stoppage time (90'+6). That's now two unbeaten and lifts them to 5W-3D-3L with 18 points, keeping them right in the South Group promotion mix in and around 5th place. A quick turnaround now with a busy run of fixtures, starting away at Wuhan Three Towns B Squad on June 20th.
