Peng City FC of the Chinese Super League final has a winning streak, 2^nd Tier Juniors FC beat 2^nd place Guangzhou to stay in 1^st and challenge for Super League, CBA Finals ongoing, Shenzhen International Schools Basketball playoffs this weekend, SIAFL has big upset!

Summary - Back-to-back wins! For the 1st time all season they have won in 2 straight matches, and have points in 3 point matches. Proceeding this their longest point streak was only 1 match. After ending their away-day with that hard-fought 2-1 victory at Shanghai Shenhua on May 24th, Peng City kept the good times rolling at home, edging Qingdao Hainiu 3-2 in a thriller at Shenzhen Stadium on May 30th. That result moves them to 5W-2D-8L with 17 points and lifts them up to 9th in the table (On same point total as 7th), putting some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone. A break from league action now before they return to host Chengdu Rongcheng on June 27th, with that FA Cup Shenzhen Derby away at Juniors in between.

Summary - JUNIORS STAY TOP! The boys headed to Guangzhou for the massive top-of-the-table Guangdong Derby on May 29th and got a hard-earned 0-0 draw away at second-placed Guangdong GZ-Power. It was a result that suited them to take points against their closest rival on the road. Shenzhen Juniors are at the top of China League One on 22 points (7W-1D-2L), still 2 points clear of GZ-Power in 2nd. They look to stay here for the rest of the year to earn promotion to the Chinese Super League and join other Shenzhen club Peng City FC in the top tier. Attention now turns to home soil, where they host Guangxi Hengchen on June 14th, before that huge FA Cup Round 4 Shenzhen Derby against top-flight Peng City. This will be the first time 2 top Shenzhen teams meet in the FA Cup anytime in history!

2028 FC (Chinese League 2 - Pro Tier 3)

Results - (May 22nd) Loss 0-3 @ Ganzhou Ruishi, (May 26th) Win 4-0 vs Wenzhou Professional

Summary - No new action for 2028 FC since that emphatic response on home soil at the Guangming District Football Training Base, where they demolished Wenzhou Professional 4-0 on May 26th to bounce back from the 0-3 defeat at Ganzhou Ruishi. That win keeps them on 4W-3D-3L with 15 points in the South Group, sitting mid-table and within touching distance of the promotion stage zone. A short break before a busy run of fixtures kicks off away at Hubei Istar on June 14th.

Leopards Basketball (Chinese Basketball Association - Pro Tier 1)

Summary - While Shenzhen unfortunately lost in the semi-finals, their opponent Zhejiang continues to play in the finals now against Shanghai Sharks, check out the current bracket below. Shanghai won their only title in 2001-2002 with Yao Ming on their team, and are now one win away from their 2nd title. Also Shenzhen's full playoff results are below. Shenzhen International Amateur Football League (SIAFL)

Results - (Game Week 8, June 1st) SZ Dragons 5:12 SZ Panthers, Futura 3:3 Brown Bears, Monster FC 4:1 SZ Athletic, Tigers F.C. 2:0 SZ United

Upcoming - (June 8th 20:45) GW9: Brown Bears vs Tigers F.C. (Haibin B2), SZ Panthers vs Monster FC (Haibin B4), SZ Athletic vs SZ Dragons (Haibin B3), SZ United vs Futura (Haibin B1)

Summary - The SIAFL is Shenzhen's top amateur football league for the international community to play in, and has been around for 13 years now featuring many players that have played at competitive levels before. A dramatic GW8 reshuffled the top of the table! SZ Panthers stormed to the summit with another emphatic display, hammering SZ Dragons 12-5 to make it five unbeaten and sit top on 20 points. The result of the week, though, was Monster FC's stunning 4-1 upset of previously-flying SZ Athletic, a defeat that knocks the high-scoring side down to 2nd despite their league-best 66 goals. There was a shock at the bottom too, as Futura were held to a 3-3 draw by bottom side Brown Bears, while Tigers F.C. got another win, a 2-0 clean sheet over SZ United.
