Summary - Finally, a breakthrough! Peng City picked up their first away win of the season with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Shanghai Shenhua (2025's league runner-up) on May 24th, a massive result that ends their long road woes and lifts some pressure off the squad. That moves them to 4W-2D-8L with 14 points and gives them real momentum heading into Saturday's huge home clash with Qingdao Hainiu on May 30th. With Qingdao still close behind in the table, three points at Shenzhen Stadium would be a big step toward pulling clear of the relegation scrap.

Summary - JUNIORS GO TOP! What a run from the boys, an emphatic 4-0 thrashing of Changchun Yatai (relegated from the CSL in 2025) on May 24th has lifted Shenzhen Juniors to FIRST place in China League One on 21 points, ahead of Guangdong GZ-Power FC by 2 points who are now in 2nd. They've also booked an FA Cup Round 4 setting up that mouthwatering Shenzhen Derby against top-flight Peng City. First up though, a massive trip to Guangdong GZ-Power on May 29th, a Guangdong Derby that will decide who sits top of the table. Then back to home soil on June 14th to host Guangxi Hengchen. Huge weeks ahead!

Summary - A rollercoaster fortnight for 2028 FC! After a disappointing 0-3 defeat away at Ganzhou Ruishi on May 22nd, the boys bounced back in style on home soil at the Guangming District Football Training Base, demolishing Wenzhou Professional 4-0 on May 26th. That emphatic response shows the character in this squad and lifts them to 4W-3D-3L with 15 points in the South Group, keeping them right in the mix near the promotion stage zone. A short break before they return to action away at Hubei Istar on June 14th.

Summary - Heartbreak for the Leopards. After a brilliant Game 3 fightback at the Sport Center Gymnasium, where the home crowd roared them to a 91-80 win to claw a game back in the series, the dream of a comeback was ended in Game 4. Despite a strong start, the Leopards couldn't contain a red-hot Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in a huge 36-point third quarter, eventually falling 88-97 as the Lions sealed the series 3-1 and booked their place in the CBA Finals. A hugely impressive season nonetheless, sweeping the Golden Bulls in the QFs and pushing one of the league's top sides hard in the semis. Massive thanks to everyone who packed the gym and brought the noise; the team felt every bit of it. Now we look ahead to next season!

Shenzhen International Amateur Football League (SIAFL)

Summary - The SIAFL is Shenzhen's top amateur football league for the international community to play in, and has been around for 13 years now featuring many players that have played at competitive levels before. A wild week of goals in GW7! SZ Panthers responded to their surprise draw last week with an emphatic 12-2 demolition of Futura, the result of the week, while SZ Athletic kept their unbeaten run going with an 8-4 win over SZ United to stay top of the table. SZ Dragons picked up a much-needed 8-2 win away at bottom side Brown Bears, and Tigers FC moved up the table with a 3-0 clean sheet win over Monster FC. More league info at their website siafl.org
