In 2025, the team behind 622 embarked on a fresh chapter. They relocated to a new spot in Shenzhen’s Luohu District, unveiling a reimagined venue, 622 Houhou. Spanning over 100 square meters, the space was thoughtfully designed with wood, fabric, and soft hues, creating a tranquil and welcoming retreat. The aesthetic steers clear of mere traditional imitation, instead weaving in a modern Chinese sensibility, subtle yet profound. It reflects a quiet beauty, rooted in a sense of belonging, as if answering the timeless question, “Where do we come from?”

Thus, the establishment transformed into 622 Houhou. The name “Houhou,” drawn from the Cantonese “好好” (meaning “good” or “well”), carries a simple yet sincere blessing from the team, they are thriving, and they wish the same for their guests. Gentle yet resolute, this name encapsulates their values and aspirations.

At 622 Houhou, the commitment to handmade quality persists, now elevated with even greater attention to detail. The team has now begun roasting their own coffee beans, ensuring every cup reflects their heartfelt dedication. Signature drinks remain crafted in-house, and each cake is meticulously handmade. Their craft beer selection, though not extensive, is curated with precision. While they don’t brew the beers themselves, the team chooses each one with the same discernment they’d apply to their own recipes, offering only those they’d happily enjoy glass after glass.

In the near future, they plan to introduce hot dishes, simple, flavorful home-style stir-fries that evoke the comforting taste of nostalgia.
