Gecko Pizza & Pub 壁虎餐吧

In the autumn of 2005, Ms. Qi inspired by years of traveling across Europe and the US and falling in love with authentic American casual dining, founded the first Gecko Pizza & Pub in Chang’an, Dongguan, not with a business formula but with a belief that good food and a warm room could become a second home.

For nearly two decades, Gecko has remained faithful to three simple vows: quality ingredients, refined craftsmanship, and unforgettable experiences. Its menu grew into a celebration of wood-fired pizzas, towering burgers, fresh salads, charcoal-grilled steaks, Mexican-inspired dishes, silky pasta, and a bar stocked with imported drafts and creative cocktails.

In 2020, Gecko opened at Sea World, Shenzhen, and quickly became more than a pub. Families, expats, first dates, and late-night regulars came for the food, stayed for the warmth, and fell in love with the live music. It transformed into a true gathering place for Western cuisine lovers and music souls.

Now, a new chapter unfolds as Ms. Qi’s son Stephen steps forward, carrying his mother’s dream while breathing fresh energy into the brand new ideas, new beats, and new reasons to gather.

Yet some things will never change. Gecko will always remain a place where a mother’s journey meets her son’s passion, where every dish tells a story, every toast makes a memory, and every smile reminds us that life shared around a good table is the only adventure worth having.
