This year’s May Day holiday will start from April 29 and end on May 3rd.
The seemingly 5 days holiday, in fact, only give you extra 1 day off. You have to work on April 23 which is a Sunday, and May 6 which is a Saturday to exchange for 2 days off for the holiday. For April 29 and 30, they are weekend days.
Many people are frustrated about this arrangement, and prefer to have a 3 days holiday from April 29 to May 1 whithout the make-up work days.
