Covid-19 Sees Local Foreign-run Rescue Enter Tough Times

Karuna Rescue usually relies on a revolving door. That is we rescue, whilst at the same time we have dogs boarding the plane to their forever homes. Most of the dogs fly to the USA, Canada and the EU, and all experience a direct adoption, after a very intense vetting process. But that revolving door has come to an abrupt halt. Leaving us with dogs literally all over the country. A shelter running at 130% capacity, and of course bills still need to be paid. Dogs still need to be dewomed, deflead etc. monthly. We know we have to just sit tight, and ride this time out. And look forward to the time we can once again get dogs onto their freedom flights.
