Handbook for Expats in Shenzhen: New Edition

The Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats (Shekou MSCE) has released the third edition of its Handbook for Expats in Shenzhen, a comprehensive bilingual guide packed with practical information and guidance for foreign residents.

Originally launched in 2018, the handbook quickly gained popularity among expats for its coverage of essential daily-life topics. This latest edition expands significantly on the first version, offering broader content and enhanced user-friendliness, such as the addition of QR codes next to website links for easier access.

The handbook was compiled by a dedicated team of more than 10 staff members from Shekou MSCE. They gathered insights from the needs of over 3,000 foreign residents and verified all details with relevant government departments to ensure accuracy. Several members of the Shekou International Volunteer Team also contributed by proofreading the content.

The guide provides clear, step-by-step explanations of key public services, including temporary residence registration, visa procedures, and driver's license applications, while introducing various public facilities and resources. Its goal is to offer thorough, reliable support that makes living and working in Shenzhen more convenient and enjoyable for expatriates.
