CAPTIVATING & 深圳市慈善会联合出品2024 GPA GLOBAL 儿童迷你奥运会支持Captivating在中国开展的公益救助项目

Shen Wai International School (SWIS) was once again filled with a buzz of action, high-5’s and passionate kids on Saturday, March 16, as Captivating and GPA GLOBAL in conjunction with the Shenzhen Charity Federation, ran the 11th Annual Kidz with Heart Mini Olympics!

3月16日（星期六），深圳外国语学校国际部（SWIS）的校园里再次充满了欢呼雀跃，加油喝彩声！Captivating，GPA GLOBAL联合深圳市慈善会共同举办的第十一届年度迷你奥运会如期举行！

178 kids (5 – 11 year olds), from 42 different schools, and representing 22 countries, competed in multiple Olympic-style events including basketball shoot, golf, short and long-distance running races, three-legged race, bean bag toss, ping-pong ball game, archery, long-jump and a limbo event. Parents, volunteers and multiple local businesses supported the event and a great day of fun and excitement was had by all.

178名参赛儿童（5至11岁），来自42所国际学校，22 个国家；他们完成了投篮，高尔夫，长短跑接力，二人三足，扔沙包，乒乓球传运，射箭，跳远，弯腰过杆等十余种比赛项目。在家长，志愿者，多家本地企业的大力支持与积极配合下，本场儿童迷你奥运会取得圆满成功。

Congratulations to all participants who each received a Mini Olympics medal and special congratulations to the award winners, who proudly received their gold, silver and bronze medals while displaying their country flags on the winner’s podium at the end of the event.

祝贺每位获得奖牌的参赛者，特别是获得金，银，铜牌的获奖选手，祝贺你们在本场比赛中为自己的祖国取得卓越荣誉。

The event raised RMB136K for the Shenzhen Charity Federation CAPTIVATING Fund, supporting underprivileged girls, women and their children in rural China.

本场活动的筹款共人民币136,000，所有收入将用于支持深圳市慈善会开普威汀基金的多个救助项目，帮助辍学女孩重回学校，偏远山区妇女学习谋生技能，提高困境中儿童的成长环境等。

OUR VOLUNTEERS: We always need an army of over 100 volunteers to make this event happen. We would literally have been lost without Dan Halsall and his incredible SWIS teachers, acting as Event Managers and 30 student volunteers, kindly collaborating and supported by another 60 SCIE students who were the Group Minders, led by the amazing Gary Ellis and Karen Clancy and not forgetting our fabulous Chinese MC Chu Qi! A special shout out to Gary Ellis, who is retiring this year. Since 2015 he’s inspired 100s of SCIE students over the years to volunteer for Captivating events.
