Come and find out more about the amazing artwork and the artists behind the incredible donations for this year’s Art category within the Shenzhen Charity Federation Captivating Annual Charity Auction (October 21st at the Futian Shangri-La). We’re thrilled that this category continues to grow and LOVE the stories behind each piece.
The Art Auction Preview was created to highlight a category of incredible donations that sometimes need a little more time before a serious investment. And there are some hidden gems! Some of these very special artists (international and local) have spent up to a month of their time creating amazing work to help provide real solutions and hope to some of the most underprivileged girls, women, and their children in rural China, so we don’t want you to miss them!
All of our auction item donors have given more generously than ever this year, you’re in for a real treat, and this is why:
One More Year Program: In 2023/2024, with your help, we’re keeping 600 underprivileged girls (and some boys!) from remote poor locations in vocational or senior high schools in Yunnan and Sichuan.
My First Job: Helping women who have missed most of their schooling (and are largely illiterate) earn a stable sustainable income in Qinghai.
Support a Remote Teacher Program: Helping extremely remote primary school children with the teaching support they need to thrive! Vocational Teachers will have their living and transportation costs covered to teach in the remotest parts or rural Sichuan.

The Shenzhen Charity Federation CAPTIVATING Fund
Our mission and passion are to see underprivileged women and children soar – see them reach out for a better tomorrow. Captivating, a charity registered in Hong Kong, Australia, and the USA, is not a registered charity in China. Rather, everything we do is through our partnership with the Shenzhen Charity Federation (SCF) and agreements we mutually have in place through the SCF with Chinese registered and approved charities. Captivating was accepted as an officially registered charity fund on August 4th, 2015. Any fundraising activity in China is under the direction of the SCF, with funds allocated to the Shenzhen Charity Federation CAPTIVATING Fund. Distributions are made from this fund direct to agreed projects as per controlled guidelines.
