In an opening speech, the hotel owner Secretary of the Party Committee & General Manager of OCT Hotel Group Mr. Hao Gang expressed that Overseas Chinese Town has enjoyed a friendly, long-term cooperative relationship with InterContinental Hotels Group. Twenty-one years ago, the two parties formed a relationship with the Venetian Hotel Shenzhen and jointly founded the Venetian-themed Crowne Plaza Hotel. And twenty-one years later, we continue with the first Indigo branded hotel in Shenzhen, opening the curtain and presenting more exciting stories on the stage, immersing ourselves in the neighborhood and exploring with guests from all over the world.

Dream theater, fragrance of neighborhood. Upon arrival at the hotel, a neighborhood ambassador dressed in a distinguishing sailor’s costume greets guests and leads them into the lobby. A warm “Welcome Home” or “Welcome Back” from the sailor makes people feel like they are at home.
The lobby is imbued with a “Theater of Dreams” concept, where light and elegant curtains pour down from the top of the starry sky, gorgeous bouquets of flowers are in full bloom and the elegant “phoenix flower” fragrance of the south all combine to create a fresh, comfy and natural experience of one’s hometown. At this moment, people are already in the realm of neighborhood stories.

An artistic dream journey is also a place where the dream is made. A guest room card with the theme of “Dreaming in Overseas Chinese Town” stage curtain, lion dance, or hand-drawn neighborhood elements serves as a key to exploring the neighborhood.
The hotel’s 354 guest rooms and suites take “art collection” as a design theme, reflecting upon the local neighborhood art style, including paintings, graffiti and sculpture as expression of personality, combining rich colors, wallpaper with architectural silhouettes and other Venetian impressions, all creating deeply charming artistic vision.
Most rooms include open balconies overlooking the urban landscape that may include expansive Shenzhen Bay, a unique view of the Window of the World, or a romantic fireworks display. The room’s minibar is charmingly furnished with neighborhood drinks, such as the foreign herbal tea “Sha Shi” soda that holds many old memories, along with Cantonese specialty snacks like Shunde fish skin and Yuanlang butterfly crisps, together allowing guests to immerse themselves in a range of sensations from the neighborhood from sight to taste.
A fresh fragrance of scented candles fills the entire room, and the soft light is quite ritualistic. Accompanied by a drink to help them rest, guests are assured to sleep soundly.
