“Circle Tour” is an offline tour organized by the “Crater Records” label for artists who have released personal records on the label. It is also the first time that the Crater Mountain label has organized an artist tour since its establishment five years ago, and the first “circle tour” will be jointly opened by two producers—Punx and EAU Wang Yi. They will release two high-quality solo albums on the Huanshan label at the end of 2022 – Punx’s and EAU Wang Yi’s “Shang Xia”. It just so happens that both artists prefer to use more hardware or modules for music creation and expression. What’s even more coincidental is that both artists have never performed live in a way other than hardware LIVE. But the two artists also have completely different musical logics. Punx is better at capturing the motivations lurking in the corners of this digital information age, and transforming them into dance-floor-inciting industrial sounds. EAU Wang Yi is better at using experimental music to describe abstract concepts and concrete phenomena, which also allows his music to show the tight fit of architecture and the flow and etherealness of all things in nature. The commonality and characteristics of the two artists are like the poles of an endlessly rotating planet, which is bound to bring an extraordinary on-site experience to the first “circular tour”. At the same time, at the Shenzhen station of the circular tour, we will also extend our sound exploration to a faster, wider, deeper and passionate dimension with the Australian Jungle titan Tamen specially presented by OIL.
