There are two centers which can solve your questions and help you live here in different aspects – Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats, and Shekou Foreign Legal Assistance Center.

Shekou Management and Service Center for Expats (Shekou MSCE) was set up in 2017, and it is devoted to building a more harmonious and livable community in Shekou for people from all countries. It provides a wide range of administrative and consultation services, public affairs guidance, and multicultural events for free. It is the first spot after your residence you need to go when you arrive and decide to live in Shekou (living in a hotel is not included).

What can you get at Shekou MSCE?

1. Temporary Residence Registration for Expats

(For those whose residence is under the jurisdiction of Shekou Police Station)

As per Chinese regulations, for expatriates residing or staying in domiciles rather than hotels (e.g. a rental house, a self-purchased house, relatives’ or friends’ house,a

dormitory, etc.) or changing the residence address, they or the residence owner shall report to the local police station for temporary residence registration within 24 hours upon arrival.

For registration, please bring your passport, and lease contract or property ownership certificate.

2. Public Affairs Guidance

If you have question in other administrative affairs such as non-criminal record application, dog registration, etc., Shekou MSCE can offer you guidance or suggestions.

3. Multicultural Events

Shekou MSCE has eight series of multicultural events in order to help residents integrated into the community, explore more of Shenzhen and know more about different cultures.

4. Volunteer Services

Shekou MSCE has a volunteer team – Shekou International Volunteer Team – registered under the municipal volunteer system. The team provides volunteer services in different fields, such as activity assistance, environmental protection, suggestions on community development, charity sales, etc. If you are interested in volunteer services, welcome to join the team. Your ideas are also welcome to enrich the volunteer services. Let’s do more significant things.

Shekou Foreign Legal Assistance Center (SFLAC)

Brand Introduction

Shekou Foreign Legal Assistance Center (SFLAC) was established in 2020 with more professional foreign-related legal services and more functions. It locates on the ground floor of Shekou MSCE, and next to Shekou Sub-district Government Service Center.

What services does SFLAC offer?

Besides foreign related legal consulting and mediation that are offered by lawyers with English, or Japanese, or Korean language competence, SFLAC also provides English services like tax consulting, visa consulting, psychological counselling, notarization, and intellectual property consulting. All services are FREE, except that notarization is charged according to provincial standards (notary consulting is free of charge).
