ALL China Visa Types Resumed from March 15th!

It’s finally happening! – L Travel visas will begin being issued again from March 15th! In Addition, 10-year travel visas issued prior to March 28,2020 have been re-validated. This notice was pulled from the US Chinese Embassy website – similar notices have gone up on various consulate websites across the world – please make sure to check your respective countries consulate/embassy websites to verify if this change affects your country or not.

Notice on Further Adjusting the Visa and Entry Policies for Foreigners in China

In order to further facilitate the exchange of Chinese and foreign personnel, it is decided to make the following adjustments to the visa and entry policies for foreigners in China from 0:00 on March 15, 2023, Beijing time:

  1. Restore the entry function of visas issued before March 28, 2020 and still in validity.
  2. The visa authorities stationed abroad resume the examination and issuance of various types of visas for foreigners to China. For specific requirements, see the instructions for handling visas.
  3. The port visa authority shall resume the examination and issuance of various port visas that meet the statutory requirements.
  4. The visa-free policies of Hainan entry, Shanghai cruise ship entry, Hong Kong and Macao foreign group entry into Guangdong, and ASEAN tourist group entry into Guilin, Guangxi will be restored.
