Dear Shenzhen-er,
Doing something a little special this week. We're not covering any local news stories and instead will be highlighting several upcoming noteworthy events that we've handpicked.
First off - perhaps the most prestigious of the events coming up this week - Ginour Warriors Strongman Carnival Competition taking place at Ginour Fitness Resort in Panyu Guangzhou. It will be China's 1st such event - really "THE" PRD strongman fitness event of the season - with the backing of the most prestigious name in the field "The Global Classic." Our good friends at Tinka Kombucha and Daily Dose (Health Focused Restaurant Chain) will be sponsoring and keeping everyone fed and hydrated. I'll be there myself throughout the 2 day event on the 25th and 26th so if you'd like to connect and share your feedback for our platform face to face stop on by!
Secondly, our old friends at SWIC are celebrating their annual Holiday Bazaar at Shekou International School on Saturday. This annual Charity event is always a feel-good community-focused building time for adults and kids alike before we all venture off for the holiday break. Check out the full event listing for all the details and to get tickets!
Finally a freshly minted Creative Brand in the art / design / photography spaces called Creativity Matters is hosting their first event on the 25th aiming at developing Shenzhen's "Creative Economy," a name they are pioneering themselves! They're welcoming individuals as well as businessfolk in the creative spaces to attend and connect at RMK bar in Nanshan. Luciano will be DJ'ing the event and the rest of the team behind the brand will be in attendance - a great choice for Saturday evening if you're working or interested in the creative fields.
Don't worry we didn't forget about Thanksgiving! We'll cover all the feasting/celebratory choices tomorrow in a dedicated post to the holiday!
As you can see there's a lot going on in these next several weeks before the majority of the expat community start their holiday travels - next week bring with it a number of events focused on our furry friends - I'll have plenty of information about those events to share with you next Monday!
