Now Shenzhen | September 4, 2023
Dear Shenzhen-er,
I was up all evening Friday night tracking Saola expecting to get slammed as I live along the coastline and as this article out today can attest to it didn't end up being that bad at all. We ended up losing a few trees - some of the few that survived Mangkhut in 2018 - but otherwise damage was minimal. On Saola's heels comes Typhoon Haikui which is scheduled to send us more umbrella-immune rainfall and gale force winds tomorrow and Wednesday. Besides the weather I decided to share a little news about Tesla and it's actions in the ongoing EV price wars locally - as I'm still a fan of Elon despite what's going on with Twitter/X.
Wanted to say a fond farewell to a local star in our art community Kiara - her voice, presence, and efforts will be sorely missed! Zack's SZ tech/marketing meetup is back this Thursday - highly recommend attending if you're in the industry (message me directly for an invite) - great people and an exceptional host to boot. MindBody Club took a break last weekend but will be back agian this Sunday afternoon for those interested in our regular community building effort in the Psychology space.
