Dear Shenzhen-er,
Selected a piece recapping Eye Shenzhen's 5th Annual Expat photo contest results as many of the winners and contestants showcased photos at our Pawspective event a few weekends ago. Certainly some inspiring photography on display there for those of you with interest! Secondly, here's a short piece outlining updates to mask wearing recommendations from the CDC in response to the continuing outbreak of respiratory illnesses. I've been under the weather myself battling the Mycoplasma pneumoniae bacteria the past few weeks so I feel it's a relevant article for many of us this week. Finally as the holidays approach I thought I'd include a wrap-up of upcoming theatrical performances in the city - from "The Sound of Music" to "Anna Karenina," and various Philharmonic performances there are plenty of options this season to enjoy the performing arts.
Christmas and other holiday events abound this week into next. The only ones I'd like to plug this week are Volume 3 of the Shenzhen Open Air Festival (holiday themed of course) being organized by our friends at Brass House in Shekou this Saturday, CanCham's PRD Christmas Party on Friday, and finally the Christmas Market Event being put together by the Ritz that's taking place on Saturday. I'll be there at Leave's Bar all afternoon myself so stop on by if you'd like to share some holiday giggles with me whilst consuming some new seasonal flavors of Kombucha :)
