Dear Shenzhen-er,
In local big infrastructure news the nearly 7-kilometer subsea tunnel - part of the massive project connecting Shenzhen and Zhongshan - was completed yesterday. The entire 24km Shenzhen-Zhongshan link should be open to traffic next year. A Dutch and British Film festival is coming to town at two venues in Nanshan starting on the 16th - check the full article for details and ticket booking information! Lastly, here's a bit of archeological fluff for any of you fellow pig lovers out there - a 6,000-year-old pottery pig was unearthed in Jiangsu - researchers are hard at work trying to determine whether or not it can be blown like a whistle :).
